This video is to show you how to create a MySQL user with all privileges to the database. 127.0.0.1 is another way of saying localhost, except it cannot be spoofed by DNS in the same way as localhost.

Run the following to enter MySQL command shell or you can login with another user.

mysql -u root -p

The lines that were pasted :

CREATE USER ‘shinobi’@’127.0.0.1’ IDENTIFIED BY ”;
GRANT ALL PRIVILEGES ON * . * TO ‘shinobi’@’127.0.0.1’;
FLUSH PRIVILEGES;

You may change 127.0.0.1 to the IP you’re connecting FROM.

FROM = the server that will be connecting to the SQL database.
