    Excellent explanation. It's work for me when add the same file from site-available to site-enabled folder. Thanks a lot for such informative tutorial.

    Good stuff until minute 6:05. After creating the project and then running the server I get the error: django.db.utils.OperationalError: unable to open database file

    I am new to Apache. I followed your instructions completely. The step of executing was successful and I could see the Django screen on the browser. But still the default page of Apache comes up when I goto the localhost in the browser. maybe I am doing something wrong with the configuration files. I have 2 conf files 000-default.conf and mysite.conf. I have written the same stuff u have written in your default.conf file. Please help.
